Self-discipline is a myth. Let us imagine you don't have self-discipline with respect to your exercise routine and want to develop some self-discipline. Now how can you do that without having self-discipline at the first place. Every article on self-discipline tells you in many different words that you need to have self-discipline to develop self discipline. It is a myth. What you need is a value system which says missing your routine is a sin. Just tell me why you don't have discipline problem professionally, is not because of your value system (internal motivation). If not it would be your boss (external motivation).

check out jack kruse: http://jackkruse.com his ideas on leptin reset and paleo/primal eating could work very well while breast feeding...in general I've found myself losing a good deal of weight following this way of eating.

I've had 4 kiddos and BF-ed them all...it took child 4 to make me realize I could change my entire way of eating (healthier), still provide for her (trust me the kid thrived on the boob!) AND lose weight. After #4 I finally managed to start shedding the fat BUT I didn't start heavy work outs until she was off the boob...that was one thing I found with all 4 to decrease my milk supply so keep it in mind as you start to run agian.

Very funny. I could have written this article. I'm in the Seattle metro area and my first Zumba class was last night (Tuesday) and I felt pretty much the same way. it was fun and I'll be happy to do it every Tuesday night as a way to add cardio to my routine. However, with all the hoopla, I guess I was expecting more. I really felt it was an 80's aerobics class with latin music. Nothing really new. My class didn't have all young ladies in it, but I was one of the bigger gals. I felt the same way at the end and also said, “It was good! I did much better than I thought I would.” My husband asked how it went and I said, "Imagine dancing in a sauna." I wouldn't call myself a hater. However, I prefer strength training and HIIT on my treadmill. I'll keep going once a week to change it up. Maybe things will change.

That first run back after a lapse for any reason is SO hard. I ran while I was down in LA and it was really difficult but also really gratifying. I'm trying as hard as I can to talk myself back to the gym here in Seattle too.
